ORNIS is a small team of birdwatching experts operating in the Považie region. They are dedicated to long-term bird conservation, public education and addressing the relationship between humans and nature.

Education as an Experience

The foundation of their work is experiential, hands-on education. ORNIS organises bird identification courses, popular owl nights, public lectures and expert field trips, as well as cycling excursions that bring birdlife to life in the field. They also run birdhouse-building workshops, install and maintain nesting boxes, create educational signs and organise exhibitions. Many of these activities are available free of charge or for a nominal fee, making them accessible to the widest possible audience.

In addition to education, ORNIS provides expert advice and effective, ethical and environmentally friendly solutions to conflicts between birds and humans.
