ŽiTo v Sýpce is a unique space that has breathed new life into a former granary in Moravský Lieskov. The historic building and its surroundings are gradually being transformed into a vibrant eco centre — a place for education, culture, nature and community gatherings. The Sýpka complex, together with its natural garden, forms a harmonious whole where history, sustainability, art and the sharing of knowledge go hand in hand.

A garden full of natural life

At the heart of the complex lies a model, certified natural garden. Building on the original orchards of old apple and plum trees, it features new plantings, an herb and vegetable garden, and lesser-known fruit varieties. The grounds also feature an irrigation pond with aquatic plants, relaxation areas, a therapeutic garden and natural nooks designed for relaxation and exploration. There is something for everyone here, from a straw maze to a quiet spot in the shade of the trees. The garden is designed to be attractive year-round and to function as a living ecosystem in harmony with nature.

A space for relaxation, learning, and art

The grounds are open to families, individuals, schools and organised groups. Particular attention is given to preschool and primary school children, as well as children with special needs.

The thoughtfully placed pergolas, raised garden beds, artistic features and community spaces create an environment that is conducive to education, creativity and community gatherings.

The former granary provides authentic spaces for chamber concerts, discussions, community gatherings and larger cultural events. Education lies at the heart of our activities. We organise programmes for schools, as well as thematic courses, seminars, children’s clubs and community workshops focused on sustainability, art, nature and personal development.
