Miniature Park Podolie

The Miniature Park in Podolí is a unique place where Slovakia’s history is brought to life. Here, you’ll discover more than 100 models of castles, châteaux, churches and observation towers, all of which have been meticulously recreated to look just as they did in their heyday.

This open-air park transports visitors across the landscape and through the centuries. The miniatures are created as faithful scientific reconstructions based on archival materials, historical drawings and actual field research. Thanks to this, you can better imagine what monuments that today often exist only as ruins once looked like.

Take a journey into the past, just a few steps away!

Walking through the park is like taking a journey through ‘Little Slovakia’. In this relatively small area, you can discover both well-known and lesser-known landmarks, each of which boasts a wealth of detail. Most are built to a scale of 1:50, with some structures featuring even greater detail.

Located in the heart of the ‘Three Castles’ region — Čachtice Castle, Beckov Castle and Tematín Castle — the park is an ideal place to stop during a trip through the area.

The idea to build the park originated in 2001, and it continues to evolve to this day. New models are added every year with the aim of preserving the appearance of more historical structures for future generations. Months or even years of work go into each model, from gathering reference materials and designing to constructing it. Some models weigh tens of tons, which underscores the project’s precision and scope.
