📅 22 November 2026 at 10:00
📍 Meeting point: in front of the manor house in Lednické Rovne
🚲 Group bike ride to the artwork near the cycle bridge in Beluša – approximately 2.5 km
Dust off your old bicycle, dress warmly and join us in discovering art on two wheels! 🚲
A unique combination of art, history and cycling awaits you. You will discover the story of the Schreiber family, admire historic bicycles and set off together on a short bike ride to the new artwork.
A tree you can step inside
Arbor Oblita resembles a monumental hollow tree trunk that becomes part of the landscape while inviting visitors to step inside.
It is a sculpture, a shelter, a climbing structure and a place to pause. A space that children can explore through play and adults can experience as a place for rest, observation and contemplation.
Approximately four metres long and 1.2 metres in diameter, the structure forms a cosy tunnel whose circular openings of various sizes offer unusual views of the surrounding landscape.
Each opening acts as a small window onto the landscape. Simply look through it and suddenly you begin to notice details you might otherwise overlook on an ordinary walk.

The architects from the WOVEN collective also incorporated traditional craft techniques into the work. The interior wooden lining is based on the principles of barrel-making, while the undulating outer structure evokes tree bark and layers of natural materials.
In this way, the work connects contemporary architecture, craftsmanship and nature. At the same time, it demonstrates that art in public space does not have to be something we merely look at.
We can step inside it, touch it, play in it and use it to discover the world around us.
Arbor Oblita invites visitors of all ages to slow down, engage their imagination and experience the landscape from a new perspective.
What can you look forward to at the official opening?

About the authors
WOVEN is an architectural platform formed by four architects – Anna Cséfalvay, Marianna Maczová, Veronika Michalíková and Danica Pišteková. The idea of working together emerged during their studies at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava. Since 2014, they have focused primarily on interventions in public space, urban furniture, exhibition systems and educational activities.
Their work is characterised by playful, open and flexible solutions that create new micro-environments and invite people to interact with them. Rather than designing static objects, they create spaces whose meaning and ways of being used can gradually evolve.
Their notable projects include Escapes in Space (2026) – a series of four pavilions by the Váh River in Trenčín created for the Trenčín 2026 project, Sauna on Wheels (2022), which received the Thermory Design Award 2023, and Forest Sauna in Spišský Hrhov (2019), which won the CE.ZA.AR 2020 Public Award.
Their work has received numerous Slovak and international architectural awards, including the CE.ZA.AR, BIG SEE Architecture Award and Thermory Design Award.
About the LANDMARKS / STOPS IN THE LANDSCAPE project
LANDMARKS / STOPS IN THE LANDSCAPE is a series of site-specific artistic interventions situated throughout the landscape of the Považie region, close to cycling routes and hiking trails.
The individual works function as both landmarks and contemplative points in the landscape – places where visitors can pause, take in their surroundings and discover the historical, natural and cultural layers of the area.
The aim of the project is to create artworks that respond sensitively to their specific locations and develop the relationship between landscape, memory, movement and contemporary perceptions of the environment. LANDMARKS thus connects art with the exploration of the region and invites visitors to experience familiar places from a new perspective.
Come and enjoy a Sunday morning on your bike, discover a new work of art and see the landscape from a slightly different angle. We look forward to seeing you! 🚲
The activity is organised in cooperation with OOCR Región Považie. The activity is implemented with financial support from the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of the Slovak Republic.
