EcoWalk: The City Through People’s Eyes
Discover Trenčín through the eyes of the people who live here
What is hidden in the nature we pass through every day? Who lives along the banks of the Orechovský Stream and the Váh River? Why are floodplains so important, and what can they tell us about the landscape we live in?

Join specially trained Trenčín 2026 volunteers for an EcoWalk – a guided walk through the floodplain of the Orechovský Stream, and discover a familiar landscape from a new perspective.
During the walk, your volunteer guides will introduce you to the natural treasures of the area, its local plants and wildlife, and the importance of water and biodiversity. Together, you will stop at interesting locations, observe your surroundings and perhaps discover details you would normally pass by without noticing.
The route also features art installations by the architecture collective Woven Studio, recently created within this natural environment.
EcoWalk is for everyone who would like to discover the floodplain landscape around the Váh River – curious adults, families with children and nature lovers alike. You don’t need to be an expert. Just bring your curiosity and be ready to look at the world around you a little more closely.
Nature is closer than you think. Come and discover it.
